This site is dedicated to the use of simulation technology for learning and assessments. Educational simulations for traditional educational environments (i.e. primary, secondary or higher education institutions), commercial training settings or corporate universities simulations will be discussed. I am also interested in exploring how simulations can be used to decrease the digital divide in developing nations. I am technology focused but all content areas are welcome.
Although I have been in the technology industry for over a decade even us old dogs can learn new tricks. I think that is the point. Always pushing the envelope, challenging our assumptions and trying new things. So this is my first official post. In the near future I will be posting my thoughts on simulations in educational settings and I welcome your input.

I am currently the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Certiport and am a seasoned education professional with nearly 20 years experience in the ICT testing and education industry. Over the years I have worked for leading technology firms including WordPerfect, Novell; psychometric firms like Galton Technologies and leading e-learning and simulation experts like SkillSoft (formerly SmartForce), and TestOut Corporation and innovative test delivery providers like KRYTERION. I am an active member of the Association of Test Publishers and the Performance Testing Council. I have worked with large global certification programs over the years from both the program and psychometric sides. I am also a member of the High-level Panel of Advisors for UN-GAID and am working with a variety of multinational organizations and NGOs to utilize ICT for development purposes in harmony with the Millennium Development Goals.
